Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Takes On Singer Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
The Gunners' 10-game winning run came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the global hiatus, but will the English top division frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," remarked soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."
Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of special visitors.
In week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
Murs' latest record, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.
Football and Family Life
Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a footballer.
"{I recently played in a charity game the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."
Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.
"I won't force football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer side," he added.
"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a period too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from injury but their attack is already more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
AI's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.
The Hammers' sole on the road win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's coach.
So, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?
I will choose Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
Olly's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign started, but they have impressed a several observers under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their past four matches.
A family member told me to select Bees striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.
The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had great success on the road this term, and Brighton are always decent at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.
Sutton's prediction: 2-1
Olly's view: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually turns out to be rather close. 1-1
AI's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six matches.
Fulham have got plenty of talent in their team but it still seems like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.
Regarding Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.
Their performance in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of October.
But I am not choose that. Instead, I truly need to carry on going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.
Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the sole team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.
The expert's prediction: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but they have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

It is a tough one to call. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but could they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
