Ex- Physician Faces Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a ex- physician has been charged with performing assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were patients.
Details of the Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of sexual offences – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
A senior CPS official commented, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges follow what police described as a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

The charging documents said the 45 sexual offences include:
- 15 counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
